What is being sold

Two things can be booked on this site:

• **30-minute Fit Call — free.** A short conversation to understand what you need and tell you honestly whether I'm the right person for it. No obligation either way.
• **Scoping Session — one hour, fixed price in US dollars.** A focused working session held over video, in your browser — no app to install and no account to create. You leave with a concrete plan and a fixed-price quote for the work discussed.

Price and currency

Prices are shown on the booking page before you pay, in US dollars (USD). The price shown is the total — there are no additional fees, taxes or charges added afterwards. Your bank or card issuer may apply its own currency-conversion fee, which is between you and them.

Payment

Paid sessions are paid in advance through PayPal. You do not need a PayPal account — PayPal accepts cards directly. Payment is taken on PayPal's own systems; card details are never entered on this site and I never receive them.

Your chosen time is held while you pay, and the session is only booked once payment completes. If payment fails, nothing is charged and nothing is booked.

Project work is billed by invoice. An invoice states the agreed scope, any applicable tax, and a payment schedule — either a single payment or milestones we agree on together (projects over $800 can always be split). Each milestone becomes payable only when I mark the corresponding work as delivered; nothing is charged automatically or in advance of work you haven't approved.

Milestone payments are processed through PayPal under the same rule as sessions: card details never touch this site. Invoice payments are not refundable once the milestone they cover has been delivered — the free introductory call and the scope definition exist precisely so both sides know what is being bought before any money moves. Each payment is receipted, and where Costa Rican law requires it, an electronic invoice (factura electrónica) is issued for the payment.

Rescheduling

Rescheduling is free, at any time, as many times as you need. Use the link in your confirmation email. If no times suit you, reply to that email and we'll sort it out.

Cancellations and refunds

Cancel at least 24 hours before the start time and you get a full refund, no questions asked. Within 24 hours of the start time the session is not refundable, because the time was held for you and can no longer be offered to anyone else.

If I cancel for any reason, you are refunded in full regardless of notice.

Refunds are issued automatically to the original PayPal transaction the moment you cancel — you do not need to ask for one, and you do not need to chase it. In the rare case the refund cannot be completed straight away, it is flagged to me and settled by hand, normally within one business day.

The free Fit Call involves no payment, so there is nothing to refund. Cancel it whenever you like.

What I commit to

To show up on time, prepared, having read what you sent me. To tell you honestly if I'm not the right person for your problem — including on a paid call, in which case I'll refund it.

The Scoping Session delivers a plan and a fixed-price quote. It does not include implementation work; that would be a separate engagement agreed separately.

What I ask of you

Turn up at the time you booked, or reschedule beforehand — rescheduling is free, so there's no reason not to. If you don't attend and didn't cancel, a paid session is treated as delivered.

Don't use the booking system to send abusive, misleading or automated submissions.

Confidentiality

Anything you tell me about your business in a call or a booking note is treated as confidential and is not shared or published. If I ever want to reference work publicly as a case study, I ask first.

Limits of liability

These sessions provide technical advice and planning. Decisions about your business remain yours, and I can't be held liable for outcomes that follow from them. For a paid session, my liability is limited to refunding what you paid for it.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes and contact

Last reviewed 2026-08-24. The terms that apply to your booking are the ones published when you booked.
